Turn around, and smell what you don't see
First off, to the BN crowd - on the way back from Nan's, I was struck with an idea for a New Year's AU that... did not finish by the first. But would anyone be willing to look it over, tell me how ridiculous it is, and post it to the community? ^_^ I'd be much obliged.
So, I think one of my new year resolutions is to prioritize how I spend my time. My friend has a great quote: "I don't play facebook games for the same reason I don't do meth." It's sound reasoning, and looking at how much I haven't gotten done on my break thus far, I will try to follow it.
- No facebook games (maybe help with requests if people specifically ask)
- hopefully less time on video sites, or at least don't go browsing TGWTG for new series to follow.
- At least keep up with the friendslist. Bookmark the new fics and read them when I have time, even if that time is after graduation >_> As far as non-fic things go, I will be reading them, but I can't promise to not be a lurker. Commenting on fic is hard enough u_u; Just, be assured that I know what's going on and will give support/hugs where I can.
Ah, lookee that. The start of a a list for the new year. I'd like to make it more comprehensive. Discuss what this last one meant to me, and what I hope the new one will bring, I just don't...
It's like I'm burned out. I don't write anymore and what I do write frustrates me to no end. I've lost my confidence with prose. I'm visual, I understand shots. Maybe could do comics, if I can get my skills up, or develop a distinct style.
But instead of starting new things, especially now, I should resolve to write all the time. Improve through sheer practice. Like I tried to do in November. Haha.
I'm only this bitter because it's after 2 AM again. I slept till 3 today. Granted, I've had a cold since about the 30th, but it both annoyed me and lit a fire under my ass. Forget to-do for the year, this is to-do for now:
Before Campus Return:
- wrap gifts
- gather films for SSFFS Childhood Movie Marathon (by the way, did not find a lot of the ones I thought I had. SSFFSians, should I put a list on googledocs?)
- gather equipment for Melting Point.
- read up on Vampire/Changeling. Also character for Deadlands, scenes for Hideaki (headdesk), Rozer. Check forums for all (headdeskheaddeskheaddesk)
Over January:
- give gifts. Speaking of, meet with Sensei.
- check in with the various doctors. Contact those ADD specialists, see if this is actually fixable.
- post the mountains of little things I've been writing. The snark, at least; that stuff just piles.
- finish boffing weapons. Found some nice red duct tape that I might give to the sword :P
- same gaming stuff as above. Also become Vampire player plus thing. Oh god.
- get videos up. Of course. I know how to do them via facebook, but... this is not facebook nor do I want it to be. I'll get trovester working. In fact, do that tomorrow.
And when I am conscious again, I will hopefully add anything I forgot. My, this year isn't starting off auspiciously, is it. Anyway. My resolution is as it has been for the past year: get my shit together. Slowly but surely, I think I will.

2) Post the first line (or first couple of lines) from the first 20 songs that play (or however many you want to), no matter how embarrassing the song.
3) Anyone is allowed to guess the answers. Strike through and add the artist and title below the lyric when someone gets one right.
(I'm excepting all my soundtracks, instrumentals, and anime (pity that). Maybe do this again for anime soundtracks (for hardcore:P))
