(no subject)
Quick update....how often do I say that and then the post is a mile long?? Everytime! Anyhoo...the lj surprises are in the post so all on my flist let me know when you receive yours and whether it was worth the unnecessary excitement or not! The office did not explode but I had a crappy day today and I cursed myself as I ended up with a splitting headache (thankfully not a migraine though!) The only good thing is that it felt like a Monday today so by Friday I'll be still thinking it's Thursday!
Will try to keep it brief but have to let the world know how embarrassed I am about this....My boss and his wife are good friends with the parents of the female teacher I was in love with at school (majorly obsessed) Anyway, I never told her how I felt but I thought another teacher might have known and told her (too long and complicated to explain here) So, this morning the boss's son who manages the Windscreen Department told me he bumped into this teacher over Xmas and he told her...conversation unfolds to reveal that he met her and her sister, knowing them through his parents....starts chatting and proceeds to tell her that she was my first love!!
I thought he was taking the piss but it's true....that love that I had been hiding for 10 years is a secret no longer! This may seem a bit lame but I was completely head over heels for this woman and my young teenage mind at 13/14 thought it was love (it was a pretty serious and long-lasting crush) but it wasn't love. He just blurted it out in the queue at M&S and apparently she went red in the face and was really gobsmacked. I didn't want to seem stalker like and bombard him with questions about what exactly she said or did but he did say that she remembered me and I think that she didn't freak out but her sister was laughing like mad behind her. He thought this was all hilarious but it's actually melted my head all day wondering what she really thought about it all. I'm probably reading into it all too much and she's probably forgotten all about it but I will be mortified if I run into her...
I didn't know until later in the day that he told her in Marks and Sparks and one of the other guys was laughing that he had said it over the tannoy system....I wouldn't put it past him, he was in such a mischievious mood today. Now that I think about it, he might be lying to get a rise out of me but he seemed pretty convincing about it all.
Anyway...I knew it wouldn't be short...gotta go, the wife is feeling neglected and she needs my lack of expertise to help her with her coursework...night night all.
