A parting gift.

I went and had coffee with my nonna this afternoon since it might be a while until i have time to visit again. Mum was there to of course, to translate. I invited her to come have dinner with me at my new place once everything is settled but she refused saying something in italian about how im living in sin. Finally! Im the last of her granddaughters to be living in sin, its been  a long wait but finally I got the sin talk.

It was almost as good as the time I was out shopping with nonna and mum and I purchased some phone credit and she wouldnt speak to me for the rest of the day. Eventually I got mum to ask her in italian why she was giving me the silent treatment, apparently she confused my phone credit with birth control, (if i remember correctly she thought it was a condom perhaps it was the colourful card that confused her) Poor confused old italian catholic people.

Anyway as a parting gift she gave me this big old cup and saucer that has been living in the back of her cupboard for about 40 years. It has the word Father written on the top, then a picture of an old car and then Ford written on the bottom. Im confused. I think it might have been my grandfathers, he died just before I was born, I hope its that because then I will feel more enthusiasitc about receiving junk as a present. Sure andy's parents buy us a fridge but where is the father mug? where?!
