It was great! Matt, the lead singer even pulled a crazy stunt at the end where he climbed/hopped across the chairs at the front where the highest paying audience were and then he proceeded to the end of the theatre (WITH SO MUCH DETERMINATION IT WAS RATHER AMUSING TO WATCH. The crew was frantically pulling more wire for him. HAHAHA AMUSING TO WATCH K. Like, "You MAD? ok ok more wire, MORE WIRE!" Still it was great to see his uh enthusiasm XD.)
All the while I was thinking, why can't he just walk along the path between the sections of the seats like what normal people would do, instead stepping over seats to interact with us? Amused.
Okay, so they did all of my favourite 3 songs (Fake Empire, Mistaken by Strangers, and England) and that makes me very happy :D
They even did several songs from their previous albums which was great for their long-time fans, except that I wasn't that familiar with them..
Audience interaction was ok-ok. The usual brief mentions of long flights and "how many of you came from elsewhere of Singapore?!" -screeam-
Yeah, still nothing beats Kings of Convenience in my opinion. Afterall, KOC gig got a freaking standing ovation from us Singaporeans, and you know by the sound of that - it's rather miraculous how that it even happened.
I've been to about 6 gigs now, and nothing impresses me that easily anymore. I find myself able to steady the cam well and enjoy the show at the same time. So YEAH. HAHA I'm a seasoned gig-goer. (hahahaha, yeah right I missed the fanatic times of Coldplay and Keane though!) The gigs I've been going to for the past few times were very mellow, so no crazy fists-pumping and screaming to lyrics :(
LALALALA
here's a video footage to prove that I've conquered this gig YEAAAAAAAA
and that my HTC Sensation has a brilliant enough sound quality OMG. <3
