I guess he's just a no count pup

Spring is upon us =) It's 55 degrees today.
I almost splurged on a Betsey Johnson swimsuit this weekend, only to remind myself that its not quite beach weather yet, and I probably won't have many opportunities to bust it out this summer. If I'm gonna buy a $175 bikini, I have to wear it every day for the rest of my life haha. I settled for BJ earrings that were on sale instead.

Hmmm... lets see. Nothing really super exciting to report on my end. I'm counting down the days until Spring Break (12!!). The girls are all going on trips - Tassia is going to Vegas, Karen is going to Hong Kong, Liz is going to the Bahamas. I was hoping to go to the Bahamas as well, but when I found out about London I figured it would be best to save as much money as I can. My parents will pay for me to fly home, but not for me to fly anywhere else. So I'll be spending my break at home in the SR. I love coming home though, so I'm excited! Those of you who will be around should get excited too!

The apartment hunt is going well. We found a few openings in a building in the Lower East Side. The block is really cute and its a quick train ride on the B or D to campus. Really affordable, good amount of space, neighborhood isn't sketchy (which was a nice surprise, some areas of the LES are a little, um, un-reputable haha). Also, its a few minute walk to the Broome Street Res Hall, where Tassia will be living next year. Definitely a good option.

My weekend was nice. Friday was low key, I cooked and watched the Princess Bride, which still stands as one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm silly like that.
Saturday Tassia and I did some Herald Square shopping. I didn't do too much damage which was good. Later I went out to this really cool Puerto Rican restaurant called Sofritos. Really good food/drinks/music/atmosphere. More drinks at the W's Underbar to follow. It's fun to class it up sometimes.
Yesterday I went to this rad yoga studio with Karen. It's on St. Marks and is called Yoga to the People. We did a 90 minute bikram (heated) class and I wanted to die lol, pigeon pose HURTS my hips man. At the end of the class, the instructor did a poetry reading and then played these crazy relaxing gong/bell sounds. It sent vibrations all through the body and it just felt really good after. It's a donation based studio and really funky and they played indie as opposed to the enya/pure moods stuff. I dug it, Karen and I are gonna try to make it a weekly thing. AND they have a studio in Berkeley, I'm gonna try to go over break if any one wants to join me =)

Last week I got an e-mail about a choral audition. It's for a Disney showcase to raise money for a children's charity called Citta. I've been on the fence about whether or not I want to audition. If it was with a group or choir, I would definitely do it, but its all solos and duets. I haven't performed publicly since my frosh year at NYU and I'm a little out of practice. Plus, I've never been super confident in my solo skills. I know I have a nice sounding voice but it's not amazing or anything. Anyways, I've been working on two songs over the last few days: "He's a Tramp" from Lady and the Tramp and "I Won't Say I'm In Love" from Hercules. Being an alto/alto2 leaves me very few female Disney songs in my range to choose from haha... damn all the princesses with their high range soprano-ness! I think I'm gonna go with He's a Tramp if I decide to audition. I know I should just do it - it's Disney (my one true love) and for a great cause... but I'm nervous! We'll see.

Must be productive now.
