Funny thing, I just downloaded a whole load of best ofs by Janne Da Arc. :P They're pretty good, but very much a poppier version of ABC. And given how much I love that band... Here's their entire discography. ;)

And yes, I loooooved how quickly Miyano's character got taken out. Mwahaha. XD Maybe try Occult Academy? That's the other one I've been keeping tabs on this season. It has a fairly interesting plot and a female lead I can actually stand. I've never gone back to Uraboku, although I'm sure others will recommend it.

I dunno - Uraboku is very much a guilty pleasure - it sucks - and yet I'm still watching it.

I've watched the first ep of Kuroshitsuji II already - geez, it's *dark*.

The other one that has piqued my interest is Shangri-La.

Oh yes. :) The next episode isn't anywhere near as dark, and then the one after that has Grell... But things get creepy as soon as the Trancy's show up again. (Hang on, what do you mean already? We're on episode 5!)

I've heard of it, but I'm not sure what it's about. Isn't Kakihara in it?

He is. It's kinda why I want to see him abused and betrayed... we know it's going to happen, I wanna see the result. He's had his first crisis of faith now - not seen the real impact yet.

I seemed to have missed the boat on getting started on it - only grabbed the ep yesterday.

Near future, carbon-trading world where there's dodgy business afoot. Lead character is a total Mary Sue, but I'll forgive her that at the moment. Oh and there's a precocious brat with mis-matched eyes (lol)....if Kakihara is, I don't think I've met his character yet... yeah, he's in it. It also has Takahiro Sakurai - again, unsure in what capacity.

Yes, but the abuse will be followed by insipid recovery scenes with demon-dude. Blargh. I can only watch that if I actually like the characters involved.

Ah, well, the subs are coming out fairly fast, so you should catch up quite quickly.

*checks wiki* He's playing something called MEDUSA? Maybe some kind of computer system/robot? Probably using his Haku-men voice?

I think I'm still in a pissed-off state of mind regarding a second season of Kuroshitsuji. I keep seeing posts on my flist about it and I just react with "GRRRRRR! Do not want!" LOL I'm far too protective of the Sebastian/Ciel ending of the first season. ;) If it doesn't have too much Grell, I might eventually try it, I think. *g*

Hahaha! Yes! And he got his head smashed in brutally too! *\o/* It felt soooo good! LOL Not that I think Miyano is a bad person or anything, but I am now really tired of hearing his voice in everything! I really like the male lead, though, and his yummy Suwabe voice. :) And Taniyama has got himself a really creepy fucker to portray there! :D Suits him perfectly!

Occult Academy? *looks it up* Hmmm. Not sure. Sounds rather... bland? Maybe it's just the write-up of the plot. ;) I still haven't caught up on the last two seasons of anime either, actually. *g* So much to watch, so little time...

Hah, I'm a terrible influence! XD There's a few songs on there that sound very ABCish, but off-hand I can't think of their names.

It's tiring - it's always him and Fukuyama. (I've had to date Shimizu as part of my current Corda file and I want to thump him every time he opens his mouth. Speak faster, damn you!) Surely there's plenty of other talent they could hire? And yeah, Taniyama's waaay too good at playing creepy bastards. Should we be worried? ;)

It's a lot better than it sounds (and very funny at times). I'd say watch the first episode and see what you think - it'll give you a good idea of whether it's for you or not.
