Health Tip

If you're planning on dinner at a Mexican restaraunt, here are some tips to keep your meal low fat and healthy!

* Ask for corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas.

* Skip fried taco shells; ask for a soft shell.

* Be careful with taco salads. If you top it with salad dressing, skip the guacamole or sour cream. Your best bet is to enjoy the healthy-fat-based guacamole as your dressing.

* Save yourself from nachos or "grande" nachos.

* Ask for black beans instead of refried beans.

* Enjoy salsa as a salad dressing, or enjoy salsa with a torn-up warm tortilla instead of loading up on chips.

* Fajitas can be a great choice, but skip the side order of rice. The beans and tortillas provide all the carbohydrates you need. Also, try to enjoy two fajitas instead of four of five. (Take the rest home for lunch tomorrow!)
