The plumbing wights are at it again.

In two instances, actually. One, Marcus and Hunter's toilet now makes burbly noises when I use the washing machine at their place. I have been noticing it for at least a week, possibly two, but they say it never did it before I came to TN.

And two, last night back at my own place I irretrievably burned some stew and, in my infinite wisdom, put it down the toilet rather than just throwing it in the yard. This probably wouldn't have been a problem except that there was so much, I shouldn't've done it all in one go. But I did, and promptly clogged my poor little toilet. I won't go into gory detail, but chaos ensued.

Yes, I'm well aware there are plenty of mundane explanations for why the plumbing breaks in any place I spend more than a week. It's happened since I was a kid. It's certainly not that I do anything bad to the plumbing; growing up with old septic tanks taught me how to baby a system, and anyway, it's not always toilets that are the issue. It may be that I favor older buildings and shit happens (no pun intended!) with older pipes. But this happens everywhere, not just in older houses, not just in places that have been vacant. Which is why it amuses me to say that I must've just pissed off some plumbing wight.
