Is it really only October?

Here's a quick update because I'm exhausted!  The weekend was okay.  Heather S came up with Aaron Friday because they were going to King's Dominion (local amuement park).  They didn't get here until after 8pm, and we didn't eat until almost 9pm.  I don't like to eat after 7:30 and here it was, almost 9.  Grr.  I didn't get to watch my show (Blue Bloods in case you were interested.  Will Estes is just so gorgeous and Donnie Wahlberg is wonderful), and was in bed by 11, which is definitely PAST my bedtime.

Woke up with the dog around 8am the next morning and Heather was up a bit after me.  After Aaron woke up and showered, we headed to Atlee High for the AHS Marching Band Competition.  Saw a few bands do their show and it really made me miss watching that sort of thing.  I like Marching band shows.  I like listening to the kids play and watching their color guard.  I hope Aaron gets a High School position one day, I'd LOVE to help out with the band!  Aaron and Heather went to King's Dominion, leaving Molly and me home, which is exactly what I wanted.  I ran 4hrs of sprints and got Zero writing done.

Heather needed to be back in Lynchburg by 2pm, since she had to give an oboe lesson.  It's a 2.5hr drive there, barring traffick.  She didn't get out of bed until 10:30ish and didn't make her way downstairs until 11:30ish.  I planned on making breakfast and chilling with them that morning.  Aaron and I ate breakfast... Heather didn't get any.  Oh well.

So, Julie (the P.E. teacher) and I are combining our 4th and 5th grade classes and teaching them an easy version of the Thriller dance.  It sounded like a good idea at the time, but now my calf muscles are KILLING me!  The kids are getting the moves, now it's just trying to keep them on beat.  They have a problem with that, even in music class.  Yesterday was a nightmare.  3rd grade hates me because they can't follow directions.  I took away their instrument privleges for 2wks... so they had to do worksheets yesterday.  Not happy campers.

So on top of whiny 5th graders, sarcastic & rude 4th graders, a temper tantrum in 2nd grade and 3rd graders that hate me... I had a 1st grader throw up on my carpet.  Seriously?!?!  That's the 2nd student to vomit in my room.  EW!   AND... the damn church people left my garbage filled with dirty diapers.  SERIOUSLY!  My room reeked yesterday morning!

Thankfully, Kindergarten was on a field trip to the pumpkin patch, so I didn't have them yesterday.  Which was definitely a good thing because Monday's K can be really whiny.  1st grade goes the pumpkin patch Friday, so I won't' have them that day.  Woo!

Oh well... I need to sleep.  NaNo starts in 11 days and I'm not ready!!
