Snow and Lost

So we're back in school today, first time students will be here since last Thursday.  Teachers had to be here on time while students have a 2hr delay.  Only 3 of us here here on time this morning. Some people are just straggling in now.  I shouldnt' complain, I almost stayed home until 9, but decided to come in on time.

I did fall on the ice this morning. I went out to start my car and my sidewalk was a sheet of ice, so down I went.  Nothing major, just scraped my hand and my knee.  No blood on the knee, and now my palm is bandaged up w/ 2 small band-aids until I get get one big one.  The roads are mostly clear, but I didn't drive on the backones, so who knows.  And, we're supposed to get another storm tomorrow. Mr. Smith says we'll have an early release, but I still think we'll be off.  It's going to drop back down to 28* over night, and the roads will refreeze, meaning we'll need a 2hr delay tomorrow.  The storm's supposed to start around noon, and there's no way they can keep us here for 2hrs.  It doesn't count as a full day and I refuse. Why come in if it doesn't count?  Who knows, we'll find out tomorrow.

And OMG on Lost.  Does anyone else watch that show?  I mean... OMG.  *squee*  If I thought I was confused before the season premiere, I'm completely lost now.  They've got it worked into 2 timelines:  one where the bomb worked and the plane lands safely in LAX, but the island is underwater and they don't remember, and there are sublte differences between the premiere and the pilot.  The second timeline shows that the bomb didn't work as planned.  They're still on the island, but back in the present (2007).  Juliet died, and Sawyer & Miles buried her while Jack and everyone else took Sayid to the temple to be healed.  Well he ended up dying... and then coming back to life... Which is a heck of a cliff-hanger.

All I can say is I hope that they don't make this a dream.  I'll be (and i'm sure a ton of other people) really pissed if they wake up and it was an awful dream.  And OMG, Charlie?  Why did he try to kill himself?  Did he remember?  Did Locke really go on the Walkabout?  Or did he just lie to Boone?  (who is alive and made me very happy)  Why was Jack so nervous on the plane?  Why did Sayid come back to life?  What's with the other Others in the temple?  Why are Cindy, Zach and Emma with them?  AHH! So many questions!

But I LOVED the parallels they did to the pilot.  Rose calmed Jack instead of the other way around; Boone said he's stick w/ Locke if the plane crashed and asked if Locke was 'pulling his leg' which made me giggle; Jack asked for a pen to make a trach; and so many more I can't think of off the top of my head.

Geh! Oh well, I need to start/finish getting ready for the massive influx of kids.  And maybe write some... who knows.

snow day, lost, ice
