two chicago things
1) the gas prices are doing insane things. they went up between monday and tuesday by 31 cents, then back down 25 cents and then back up 4 cents. i have no idea what would cause swings like this every day--usually a jump like that monday into tuesday one is a new gas tax, but apparently that wasn't it.

i had noticed new sculptures going up and googled and found that site. alas that they are temporary--a lot of them are really fun. i want to try to go around and see all of them before they go away.
