wiscon reflections

my retagging project just led me to rereading the notes i made on last year's wiscon, which in turn led to me rereading some write-ups that other people did on intersectionality panels from last year. i actually think that the one that i went to last year had more of the necessary conversation than either of the two that i went to this year, yet last year we didn't have that conversation, either.

what is the focus that these panels need to have; that this conversation needs to have? why is it so hard to frame this in a way that gets the conversation that we want out of it? or did other people have the conversation that they wanted, and it's just me?

panels, intersectionality, wiscon, privilege
