My poor computer that is run by hamsters (i.e. from 1999) is being alternately cajoled and cursed at by my dearest darling. Apparently, I had less than a floppy disc's worth of space on the hard drive when I tried to download Firefox update, which wouldn't work, so I had to use Internet Explorer, which took over my entire computer within minutes with a virus that isn't going away. So let that be a lesson to you not to download updates! I visit with you all today from my laptop, which does not have anything I actually need on it.
I have been in a panic making stuff for the fall semester - here's the Emmeline apron!

It came out so damn cute, I can't stand it. Sewing supply fabric on one side, rock star fabric on the other! Pardon the lack of cropping, my laptop has "paint" which as far as I can tell is completely useless. I'm almost done with the Amy Butler Birdie Sling, which is kind of kicking my butt. It took me as long to cut out and interface as a corset! The sewing seems to be going faster though, and it's a great bag so far.
Me & Josh went to see Henry IV at Shakespeare in the Park last night, and it was a very decent performance. The actor playing young Henry V was excellent. I love me some bloody war plays! They announced before the play that what with being outdoors in the middle of Hollywood (sirens, helicopters, mariachi bands) it didn't really matter if you turned your cell phone off or not. Next Friday I go on my own to hear a baroque ensemble play in the Renaissance section of the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena (there's only so much Josh will put up with). This summer has afforded me a little more time off and you'd better believe I'm taking advantage of it before the insanity of fall commences. Off to dinner!
