Skating with Drew Barrymore!
So Cambrey and I went to skate with Drew Barrymore today! She was at a skating rink in our great city and it was a lot of fun. Drew was here today to promote her brand new movie, called "Whip It." She filmed it right here in Michigan too. Go figure, haha. My dad said the reason she filmed here was because of the tax breaks, but who knows? That seems like a cynical view to take. Haha, and I thought I was the pessimistic one! Anyway, Cambrey and I went and it was fun.
Drew didn't skate with us, but she signed autographs of the Channel 95.5 winners. It was pretty cool overall! Cam and I had to sit outside in the searing sun for an hour to make sure we got our spot in line, but it was worth it in the end. They played some oldies but goodies, including some of my favourites! Beyonc's "Single Ladies" was booming and I was jammin' to that one of course, and they even got in Jesse McCartney's "How Do You Sleep?"! I was absolutely euphoric when they played Jesse, you have no idea. Actually, you probably do, hahahaha.
I was hoping they'd get to him somehow. They also played Rihanna's "Disturbia" as we were walking out. Cam was getting tired toward the end, and quite honestly I couldn't blame her. Skating is exhausting! But I wouldn't mind going again sometime. Though I think I'd prefer Skate World of Troy because they're easier to get to; it's complicated as hell getting to Bonaventure. But we made it and it was awesome. Drew was a lot smaller than I thought she would, and her hair was an eyebrow raiser! But she still looked good and we had an amazing time. I think I'm done here for the night, but I'll write again soon. See ya!
