They leaned out of another deep kiss, and breathed for a moment. Her face loomed so close, her nose almost touching his, the view eclipsing anything else in darkness. Not even the fireworks, so bright and defiant and dragonish, could interject their silence.

“You promise to thank those twins for setting them off?”

He groaned exaggeratedly. “Making out with me, and first thing you think of is other men. I see how it is.”

She giggled and swatted his arm. “You’re silly!” They smiled at each other before resuming their youthful expression of love. They broke again soon enough, he disoriented by her beauty as she sighed in the wonder of it all. “Such a warm thick night. Don’t you just love fireworks?”

Her eyes consumed him wholly, and he could only respond: “Which ones?”

She wore a garland of flowers in her hair.

Cockeyed and a little too large, Luna had spent the better part of the early afternoon making the thing out of the plentiful white flowers that dotted the field, except for a single purple flower. When Dean tried to ask Luna about the odd one out, she smiled her secretive smile, as if she knew the secret to the whole wide world, and set about making another garland.

Laughing, the young man turned back to his sketchpad, charcoal in hand, intent on capturing the light on the Cornish coast just right.

Percy Weasley, Audrey (PG) by pyrobear

Percy found himself at a loss for what to do. This was quite unusual for a man such as himself, one who prided himself on being quite rational and thinking through each available solution. before selecting the one most appropriate and beneficial for the given situation at hand. Except there was no most appropriate solution. So Percy did the only one available to him. He did nothing.

His actions were perfectly justifiable. After all, it would be highly inappropriate for a man such as himself to solicit one of his employees in an attempt to court her. Well, really Miss Audrey Hitchens was his brother’s employee, as was Percy himself, but he was the one who had hired her and who interacted with her on a daily basis. So the conundrum remained and Percy resolved to admire from afar.

“Percy?” Audrey’s voice broke him from his reverie. “Is everything all right? You’ve been staring into space for the last five minutes.” She didn’t mind him so much, despite his uptight reputation during their years at Hogwarts. He had a rather dry wit, she’d found, if you dug beneath the surface.

“Oh yes, I’m fine.” Percy gave himself a mental shake as he managed a queasy-looking half-smile. She was organizing the shelves. It was not something required of her, but Audrey organized anyway. He could have kissed her. “Miss Hitchens? Audrey...” Percy’s voice became lodged in his throat and he gave a little cough.

She had looked up when he spoke her name, confusion then concern written across her face. “Do you need me to fetch you a glass of water?”

“No, no need. I, er,” he held up a hand as if to stop her from going to fetch that glass of water. He didn’t need her mothering him. Percy already had a mother who did that quite well, thank you very much. “I just wanted to thank you for straightening up.”

“Oh.” Twin dots of color appeared high on her cheeks. Audrey glanced back to the task at hand, appearing very focused at the task at hand. “It’s no bother. I just hate the look of a disorganized display. Surely you understand?”

“Perfectly.”

James Potter/Lily Potter (G) by numbaby

“What are you thinking?”

It was a question Lily usually asked him, and James was quite pleased with having gotten in first, his hands splayed over her huge, gorgeous stomach.

“That making Sirius godfather really was just asking for trouble,” his wife replied, unshed laughter bright in her voice.

James grinned against the autumn red of her hair. “There’ll be trouble enough if he ends up with my hair. You’d kill me, for a start.”

His wife snickered, pressing his hand in to feel the hearty kick. “She’ll have my eyes,” came the warm reply, “and I’ll let you live.”
