I need ideas.
I know it's probably early to be thinking about this, but we're trying to do Christmas on the cheap this year, so I've been trying to think of ways to do large amounts of homemade gifts. A lot of people are getting cookies this year, I'll say that.
The problem I'm having is the issue of the guy gift. I have a couple of coworkers that don't like sweets, so cookies or candy or cakes are right out the window. I also have a fabulous idea for some of the women in my family, but I need a corresponding guy gift for their mates (I will already be giving cookies to the families, so I'd like to have something else that isn't more cookies).
Chris is going to experiment with pastrami, but I figure A) I need a backup plan, and B) I'm not going to be able to give everyone meat. No one can afford that much fucking meat.
So... I need ideas. Things I can make or obtain on the VERY cheap. And I'm not offering to do people's laundry, either (especially not a coworker!), so please no "coupons for services" like I keep seeing.
