idk what to think

It's not stupid-o-clock or anything, but I'm really not used to waking up at this hour because it's summer OTL I'll adjust when school starts

well, firstly, i didn't want to get up; so i rolled around in bed for 45 minutes and got up five minutes after kick off, don't judge me.

don't worry, i paid for it. By the time i got the stream running, 9 minutes in, and Werder already had a goal on Hoffenheim. I quickly learned it was a penalty by Frings in the 3rd minute, so I didn't miss anything spectacular. thank goodness, i have learned my lesson.

this is the first time i'm writing this as play is going on, so it's going to be sporadic maybe.

OK, first half: Bremen look shaky :/ I don't know what history Hoffenheim has in the bundesliga (wikipedia awayyy)... ok they were 11th last season. Werder were third. ~dissonance~

anyway, game today. Werder look really shaky. Fulham 5:1 Werder really was a bad sign, then. They might have beaten Sampdoria in the europa league playoff thing going on, but Werder don't look good today.

Is it because they miss özil? Is it because they are playing away? Is it because Marko Marin isn't on the field i am not obvious shut up?

Well, Werder keep losing the ball. Hoffenheim aren't playing badly at all; i'm not insinuating that Werder are bad therefore Hoffenheim are winning. It's just, omg Werder what is going on what; they're not that bad :/ right?

Is it Calamity Wiese or Werder badly defending in general? (a mix of both, but mostly terrible defending), but Hoffenheim keep taking the ball and running running running scoring scoring scoring.

So by the end of the first half, it's Hoffenheim 4:1 Werder.

I am seeing Fulham 5:1 Werder again. it's repeatinggg D:

haha, anyway, i am loving the stadium atmosphere. I couldn't hear a thing yesterday at the Alianz with Bayern's home game, because of crappy bass-heavy sound quality, but today, i'm watching a German stream and I am loving the crowd :D Hoffenheim must be really encouraged by the chanting.

Well, maybe things will change. Second half action away...
bb Marko's on the field! I like that. But can he make a difference at this point? Also by himself because özil isn't here anymore? :/ 4:1 is pretty steep to recover.

oh Werder lost the ball again with a bad pass i'm not surprised anymore :|

I must say Werder are doing a little better. Must be the impending loss spurring them on. They do lose the ball, but they are winning it back before Wiese has to attempt at saving, so a definite improvement.

My stream is muddy though, so I can't really see who is who. Just Per and Wiese for obvious reasons. Sometimes I can spot Frings because I know he's number 22 and also der kapitan. Marin is number 10 but I can't find him he is too small my stream is so blurry grr

...I'm wondering now, is Werder an attacking team, or a counterattacking team? Clearly they are not a defensive team, because from what I can see today, they're not too good at that (oh, German football... where defending is a chore...) more research is required. i like attack-counterattacking teams where they keep possession and keep pushing every time they have the ball.

aw i am seeing marin everywhere now :D he is trying so hard :') i hope he scores at least a consolation goal :|

nothing's really happening, tons of crosses are being cleared, so i'm just going to ramble now. :/ You know, listening to the commentary, German sounds a lot like English with a ton of words I don't have in my vocabulary. I mean, it's really similar, which is to be expected, considering the roots the two share, but really, i am liking it. idk.

Frings keeps falling over. He's not diving, no, he just keeps fouling or getting fouled and legit falling over idk why i am mentioning this; it must mean he's not afraid to challenge for the ball. Learn from him, Werder bbs, fear of challenging is how Germany lost to Spain (aw, WC; driving a stake in my heaarrtt~). Also, haven't seen Per in a while, so i guess that means Werder doesn't have to defend as stringently. am i using that word right

wow, Wiese scared me there. Another Hoffenheim player broke into the box, but Wiese nabbed the ball :) Oh, Clements Fritz got a yellow D: Werder, nooo

ahh Marko made a run but he lost the ball D: D: Man, they were right when they said he's not fast enough yet to play the full 90. D: bb Marin get back in form!! D:

i can see why Germans don't dive. They aren't convincing at all :/ not that diving by everyone else is convincing, else we wouldn't call it diving, but Germans are just... really bad at it idk. which is good, it's not encouraged at all; i see so many players just get up like a boss. i'm loving it. :)

oh Werder had a chance fly over the top at 66 minutes D: yay, they are near the hoffenheim goal! is this a sign?

is there saving though, probably not. :/

AHH Werder had another chance, the GK for Hoffenheim dropped the ball after an attempt! WERDER, MORE PLAYERS IN THE BOX D:

oh over the top again. :/ keep trying Werder, eventually, you'll hit the net! but this is way better, Werder is pushing now, so Hoffenheim aren't getting that many chances to take the ball into Werder's half.

Hoffenheim players, players everywhere D: are they playing with 15?? or is Werder just spread out D: every time i see the ball cleared, there are two Hoffenheim players to every Werder player running for it. what. i guess Hoffenheim are more on the ball. bad pun is bad.

Werder's kits are so disastrous. seriously, they make their players look so fat. also, crime against design. >(

...ok, Werder isn't going to get any goals in seven minutes, but they are playing much better than in the first half. poor wiese, though. his defence line is/was so weak today D:

i know they're better than this D: dear Werder, next time start off like how you played second half today, and improve from there.

also keep your defence awake for the whole 90 minutes, i know it's a beautiful day for a nap, thank you.

at least, they can only improve from here. Werder, you have until next weekend fixtures to prove to me you are as fantastic as I have heard you are D: your performance today was not very inspiring to a first-timer :/ i like your team, but you gotta show me i'll be seeing good football D: you don't have to win all the time. I'd just like to see a fight... not a... roll over idk what that was today.

no, i have not picked a team yet, go away. i'll know when Werder play Bayern play Leverkusen idk

RESULT:
Werder crushed by Hoffenheim, 4:1
Marko Marin played 45 minutes, subbing on for Aaron Hunt (which is wrong because they are supposed to be attacking together)
Hoffenheim had a great crowd behind them and a great game, bringing down Werder's terrible defence for a demoralizing 4:1 victory in the first half.

in other news:
oh, PS: Köln have the first red card of the season!! how exciting! but i'm not watching Köln, sorry Poldi. well, Köln were leading 1-0 at the half, no Poldi didn't score, but he got a yellow and was subbed off (oh, Poldi, it's club season againnn~ D': ) then Köln went on to lose 1-3 at full time. ouch.

I'm considering watching the Hamburger SV v. Schalke match at noon. My dad frowns on me streaming more than a game a day (he only let this one go because we don't get Bundesliga on the rogers box because he only watches Premier League and it's football! football i am interested in! he can't argue against football!)

but i want to watch that. :) also, my dad isn't even sticking around to watch the premier league so whatever, more footie for meee. Chelsea better beat Wigan or I will die laughing.

ps: i think i'm a gooner. go arsenal! :D but i'm not entirely sure yet! i like liverpool too and they already played each other D: and i don't think i supported either that week i am def not a chelsea girl. my dad's a chelsea fan though. :/

...my dad is back and he frowns on me streaming. WELL WTVR, DAD, I'M WATCHING BUNDESLIGA YOU CAN'T STOP ME. IT'S FOOTBALL. YOU UNDERSTAND. YOU DON'T HAVE THE CHANNEL, DON'T JUDGE ME.
