Rainbow Storm Rangers:
Satoshi Ohno / Rainbow Storm Ranger Blue - The oldest of the lot, an artist. He's also a good singer. He lives in his family's home. He's very easy going -- to the point of being spacey -- but he feels very strongly about the other four. He was voted the leader of the RSR over ... well, I won't say his strong objections but he was definitely heard to complain it was a nuisance. He and Yellow are especially close friends. His element is Water, and his Power-Beast is a Sea Serpent. His weapon is nunchuks.
Sho Sakurai / Rainbow Storm Ranger Red - Second oldest. A pre-school teacher. Apparently his family is quite well-off and not very happy about his choice of career, but he loves kids and he's happy with his life. A very mothering personality, who seems to be more of the leader than Blue. He has a bad temper when roused. His element is Fire, and his Power-Beast is a Phoenix. His weapon is a broadsword.
Masaki Aiba / Rainbow Storm Ranger Green - Third oldest. A zookeeper with an affinity for animals. His good-natured personality and interest in the world around him sometimes makes people not realize that he's actually quite smart. He also likes tinkering with things. His element is Earth, and his Power-Beast is a Turtle. His weapon is a spear.
Kazunari Ninomiya / Rainbow Storm Ranger Yellow - The second youngest. A musician and video game critic. He holds a variety of jobs (apparently he doesn't actually love money, but he says he does to get it into bed) and spends a lot of his time lounging around playing video games and hogging Blue's lap. He doesn't suffer stupidity gladly and he has a sharp tongue, but he sincerely cares about the others and will do anything he can to help them. His element is Air, and his Power-Beast is a Thunder Dragon. His weapon is a bow.
Jun Matsumoto / Rainbow Storm Ranger Purple - Even though he is the youngest, he spends a lot of time looking after the others. He is a model for a famous talent agency. He likes to look nice and he gets annoyed if his carefully structured life is upset. Even so, he spends a lot of time with Green. He has a bad temper that he tries to control. He is the only one of the Rangers with a clear memory of their past life, which made him reluctant to join with the others. Despite his cold exterior, he has a very loving personality. His element is Void/Spirit, and his Power-Beast is a Panther. His weapon is double knives.
Allies:
Chinen - ABC's sub-minion that attempted to defeat the Rangers. After his failure, Ohno takes him in, over the strong objections of Nino. He is very small and nimble, and devoted to Ohno. He lives in his rooms and is frequently stuffed into things by Nino. Ohno appears to regard Chinen as a cute mascot. The doujinshika appear to regard him as God's Gift to The Pedobait Fangirls. He puts '-hyoi' at the end of his sentences. His dream is to find a ranger team of his own, just like Ohno-sama's.
Satoshi's Mum, Mrs Ohno - Satoshi tells her everything. Everything.
An-chan - Elephant that Aiba takes care of. They appear to share a special bond.
Evil Team KAT-TUN and Associates:
ETK Kame - One of the two leaders of ETK. He is wound nearly as tightly as RSR Purple.
ETK Jin - The other leader of ETK. He's .... pretty. And .... he's pretty. Brains, however, not so much.
ETK Koki - There's a running gag about JOKER, which I am not catching. anybody? Mer? You like ETK better than I do.
ETK Ueda - He's very pretty. And kind of like Gackt.
ETK Junno - He makes bad jokes and worse monsters.
ETK Nakamaru - He's just kind of there. He deals with ABC a lot?
ABC Spider Monkeys - The only one I remember clearly is Kawai, because of his habit of making Copy Monsters. Those were pretty hilarious. They put '-ukyuu' (ook) at the end of their sentences.
OTHER:
Evil Empress Rie-chan - In the movie, she attempts to capture RSR Red and bend him to her ... will. Her will apparently involves a convenient surface. Many convenient surfaces. I was sorry to see her go, if only because she tried to put Red in harem outfits, which I cannot help but approve.
SATELLITE U•T•A☆B•A•N - Taka-san and Nakai. They give information to the Rangers and do big sweeping plot updates. Also, Nakai and Blue have a running feud along the lines of Blue asking big-eyed innocent questions and Nakai screaming in rage that HE IS NOT GOING BALD YOU LITTLE PUNK. Taka-san eggs Blue on. However, they really care about the fate of the Earth and all the rangers.
Eito Rangers - Show up in the special episode. Yellow bursts into tears. It's awesome, but I can't tell them apart very well. Did anybody watch Eito last year? What the hell is up with Yellow crying every time he sees something pink?
