ppps - speaking of being a raving bitch, these people who complain that shoujo is too cliched for them crack me up. Hello, commercial writing? You pays your dues and eventually your editor cautiously says maybe your sales can handle your original idea if you put in a love interest. Or set it at a school. The point is not what they do but how they do it. It's like a sonnet; you work within a narrow framework but the result is up to you. Although possibly I've internalized the tropes well enough that I can read the story simply by the codes? Should probably discuss when I don't have fifteen minutes before I have to get the dog to the vet.
