all the things
1. I was legitimately excited this morning to realize that the weird thing going on with my eyes was not incipient blindness from reading too much fanfiction, and instead a migraine aura.
1a. I know, but I read a lot of fanfiction this weekend. (Peanut gallery is kindly reminded that Meg has heard and/or made all the YOU'LL GO BLIND jokes already.)
1b. I'm fine now, on a scale of 1-The One That Lasted Four Days When We Went to Canada this was like a .86. Except for the part where I had to stand out and wait for people at the guitar singalong and then had to go hide in someone's room for twenty minutes until the rage and horror subsided. Still, it was a bizarrely bad aura.
2. Someone was asking so here is Terra! I have about three rows left to go on the body of the shawl and then ... 44 rows on the lace part, sigh. I just found a slipped stitch I did about ten rows back and I'm really wondering if I give a fuck. Probably not, it looks stable and short of entering it in the Lane County or State Fair I don't expect anybody but me will notice or care.
You can kind of tell where I went from one ball to the next (kettle dyed yarn, let me express my rage) but I don't think it's different enough to be jarring. One's very slightly lighter and more variating than the other. I dunno about the third ball which I don't think I'll have to use, but to hell with it, it's all the same tones. (Off lot of Dream In Color 'Tea Party' that Juri got me two years ago at the seconds sale in Chicago.)
3. I'm trying to decide how many jokes I can make about Jim complaining because Bones is demanding the privileges of a nosy ex -- ie, vetting all his successors -- when he refused to actually become one of Jim's exes. Bones says he just wanted to be able to say 'Bones' boner' all the time and Jim is like NO I HAD REAL BOY FEELINGS AND I'M SAD OKAY and Bones is like, That's nice, honey, but let's continue discussing your horrible life choices.
4. I have decided that Tony Start is an introvert.
5. I don't usually do the Black Friday thing, but this weekend B&N had their refurb Nook Colors on sale for 119USD with free shipping, so Ook is going to Amy's Dude and I am probably going to drunkenly root the new one so I can watch video on it. I guess you can already play video on it. But not AVIs. Which ... possible problem, but what the hell, it's not like I have better things to do than worry it out. Anyway totally excite. Dunno what I'm going to name it yet but so far the choices are Jarvis, Arthur and Ook2.
