1. Bought The Lustful Turk via Powell's ebookstore last night -- it was only a dollar, and I suspect the same edition that B&N wanted $4 for -- and am sad to report that yes, it is exactly like a hentai doujinshi. It was a little surreal. The author seemed to have mixed feelings himself; on the one hand he has the Dey give the women all this shit to make them happy, like books and instruments, but on the other hand they are clearly objects of interest to him for one reason only.

2. We had a slight crisis this morning (I put the rent check in Manager's mailbox, it slid under the metal part dividing the box from the frame, she asked for rent this morning and after brief panic I got that shit out with a 2mm dpn and one of my tatting needles ... I don't know if I win at everything or lose like, forever) , but it was resolved so successfully that Amy and I went to the mall and thence to eat out.
3. Between part one (Meg refills B&N card, Amy buys Diamond cart that turns out to have a complete Dex) and part two (Meg and Amy eat at pub and drink beer/whiskey), we stopped by a BoA so Amy could deposit money. There was a Weight Watchers next door, so I wandered over to see what the sign and shit was inside the window.
The lady inside looked up, realized I was out there, and SCRAMBLED to open the door and ask if she could help me.
