I'm not really against another season of American Idol. Hell, it's a very high-ranking show for Fox. What continues to surprise me is that people are not only still trying out for it, but still get extremely excited when they make it to the finals. Let's be honest here, Kelly Clarkson is and will be the only American Idol to ever become legitimately famous. All the rest of them are going to be classified as low-rate reality TV stars and if they continue to pursue their "careers" after winning(or losing) AI, it'll be nothing more than the occasional wedding, bar mitzvah or overzealous local casino. /minor rant
So other than that, the days have been kinda harsh lately. I've drifted in and out of my traditional New Years depression that somehow inevitably ends up happening. It's that kind where you reflect on where you are in life vs. where you pictured you'd be. Job, home, money, friends, love all keep running through my head, along with what I can and cannot do to fix it. I think it'll be ok by next week because I can apply at other jobs again. I can finally live out my dreams and be a tap-dancing drug lord who sells t-shirts on the side.
