We’ve got a ‘staff away day’ at work on Friday. Which means that everyone has to go to Bentleigh to spend all day doing painfully awful team building exercises. The programme includes ‘Celebrating Success’, ‘What makes a successful team’ and ‘reflections

I’d love to talk about Lost with you too but I’ll have to say no I’m afraid. I’ve been tempted many times to go to the official website and find out the latest but have always been able to hold myself back (so far). How’s that for will power?
Lost is shown here on Thursday nights, so I’ve just finished watching it :P Tonight’s episode was the one about Michael and his little boy Walt and how Michael didn’t want Walt hanging around Locke but then Locke helped save both of them from the polar bear. Ok, I have to confess to something. About half an hour ago I just went to the Lost website, before reading your reply, but showed enough strength to not read anything. I did however see a few pictures that gave some things away. I saw a pic of Charlie and Claire together holding a baby. So I know that Claire and the baby are both still alive. I also saw a pic of quite a few castaways on a raft, the raft that Michael started building in tonight’s episode. Even those two pics gave away too much. From now on no more trying to find out any more spoils. And talking about spoils, don’t you dare give away who won American idol. I’m watching that tomorrow night.
How much longer will you be in NYC? And has it started warming up yet? What temp does it get up to at this time of the year? Give it to me in Australian/Canadian/Restoftheworld language otherwise I’ll have trouble comprehending how warm it is. The nights down here get pretty chilly now.
Oh, and one last bit of news. I gave in my resignation today. Finishing up at the end of June. Looking forward to doing something more enjoyable and interesting.

Yes we are going into winter now. Your summer is our winter and winter is our summer. Our winter is much milder though. Only in three states can you find snow and in two of those three you’d need to travel to the Alps, which is about an hour and a half drive from where I live to see snow.
I’m expanding my own business. Until now I was only doing it part time, on weekends, but have had enough so I’m going to go into it full time. I do landscaping and garden maintenance and there is plenty of work out there, which until now have been knocking back because of my job. So I’m going to give it a go and hope it all works out. One good thing is that at least it is something that I enjoy, unlike where I am now.
Your brother is coming to Australia? That’s great. Yes, it’s better if he waits till your winter, our summer. He has to go to Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef, he will love it there. There is a lot more to do there than down here. And Sydney of course. The Sydney harbour is beautiful. Anddddd, since he’s going to come all this way, he should also visit Melbourne. We won the most liveable city in the world you know :p But to be perfectly honest, Sydney and the Gold Coast would be the places to visit, and Melbourne the place to live. When he does come down under and if he wants to visit Melbourne too, then I’ll send you my phone number to pass on to him and he could give me a call if he likes. I could probably meet him at the airport, invite him for dinner and even show him around a few places. But that’s up to him, he may not be comfortable or prefer to do his own thing.
