Who won?
As much as I adore Benedict Cumberbatch, I have to say that Fantastic Beasts won.
Don't get me wrong though, I thought he was simply amazing as Dr Strange. So good that I completely forgot that he's also Sherlock. It's just the movie itself isn't really my kind of movie. Suffice to say that if it wasn't for Benedict Cumberbatch, I wouldn't have watched it. Too psychedelic!!
As for Eddie Redmayne, I've never seen any of his previous movies but oh my, he's absolutely marvellous as Newt Scamander. So much so that I'm contemplating watching him in The Theory of Everything, a movie that I wasn't keen on watching because Benedict Cumberbatch played Hawking *perfectly* in the 2004 movie of the same name ( and you should totally watch it if you haven't ).
So yeah, thoroughly enjoyed Fantastic Beasts!!
