OK, so since you now have money, you're allowed to make priorities. So you think to yourself, ok this is what's important to me, and write it down. Before you could only eat and have a roof over your head, and it sucked so you would break budget. And then get bummed.

But now you can say things like, "Well, exercising is important, so I'll cut back on x to buy a yoga band this week" or whatever. So, you could say, "I'll save $70 per month to buy a wii" and that's reasonable and useful and non-impulsive. Also, check out Craigslist seoul. Lots of americans leaving seoul seem to want to sell their wiis with like 20 games.

Some of budgeting is about setting long-term goals for amazing things like weddings and homes. Other parts of budgeting are about deciding what's important to you, and setting reasonable amounts to spend so that you don't buy a $40 fish stew impulsively after eating rice balls every day instead of real food.

Not saying you need a wii fit...you should think about it for a bit. Just that you should be willing to set short-term goals for things that are important to Layna. (I've been hoarding money waiting to hear about my job, and I now have a huge list of things I want and fear that if I keep my job, I'm gonna spend way too much the first month!)
