So I got this awful sickness.

It has been very intense and robbed me of my voice (which happens a lot...I think this is the third or fourth time I have had to teach without speaking).

But it got me thinking. I get sick very frequently. I already eat pretty well and sleep a lot and drink tea and take Vitamin C and don't do a lot of destructive stuff like smoke or drink excessively or go to tanning salons. So I thought I was taking pretty decent care of myself. But it is becoming fairly clear to me that I am going to have to start exercising on a regular basis in order to avoid constantly getting sick.

And I have no idea where to start. Exercise and finances are the two things I really have no idea how to do. Fortunately, David is excellent with finances, so he has been helping me a lot with that sort of thing, and I finally started an automatic savings account and I even invested a small portion of my money into a fund.

But exercise? I just don't know. I feel like I need a personal trainer to come meet me at the door every day and say, okay, now we are going to ride bikes for an hour. Or, now let's do some strength exercises. Or...I dunno. But I feel completely incompetent doing any of this stuff by myself, for more than, say, three days in a row.

Ugh, I mean, how do people DO that? How do people keep doing it? How do they even start? How do they find exercises that are both fun and improve health?
