I am still not sure if I am ready to be back here. There has been a whirlwind of bonding and workshops, so I don't have much time to process, though probably that is a good thing. Someone invited me to a movie yesterday, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" or some such title, but it was just too extreme Smith for me to see just yet. It's two different worlds, Shrewsbury and Smith. I go from teaching CCD to explaining trans issues to people. And my bizarre family is left behind for dyke drama and "issues." But then it's the same basic stuff, too. I mean, I still have my home, my family, my role. It's like a parallel universe, I guess.

But I wish I could get into my own house and I wish my sisters would get here already. I need some switchovertime. Cultural jetlag.

But at least the showers work.

I need toenail clippers.
