Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer...

Wow. This is the first Sunday I have had in ages during which I did not have to do anything stressful, like take a train to Boston or visit relatives in another state. I am just chilling this weekend.

I decided to go see sister Liz on Friday, so I drove up to Belchertown, and we cooked ourselves Philly cheesesteaks with onions pepper mushrooms barbecue sauce and cumin (because Liz puts cumin on everything), and ate them with white cranberry peach juice (which is wicked good), and rented "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Tootsie" and watched them while drinking Smirnoff Ices and eating popcorn and raspberries from our yard. "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was amazing and I loved it, and we yelled at the screen and argued about what constitutes life and discussed cuckoo birds. They don't actually have nests, Liz reminded me. They knock the eggs out of other birds' nests and take them over. Cruel, cruel birds.

She also showed me how to play ZForm poker. Liz works for a video game company that allows blind players to play with sighted players. Good stuff.

I slept on the couch, had a nightmare about man-eating sea creatures, and got up for breakfast and then to pick up Carrot Ears. I was proud of myself for not missing any turns, either to Belchertown or to Northampton. We drove on home and had lunch and went to the grocery store and I cooked dinner (which took for-bloody-ever but came out good except for the carrots which refused to cook sufficiently) and Carrot Ears watched/helped Jeannie play Caesar 3, and we went to Friendly's where the service was too fast and there were more toppings than ice cream, and then to Borders which was fine except the bathrooms weren't as clean as usual. My favorite thing about Borders is the full-length Shakespeare play which is in the Women's room. Right now it is MacBeth. I think it changes every month or so.

Today we are going to church and then to Bob Evans for my brother's birthday celebration. Then we're going bowling. I'm going to buy a fish for Jean's birthday, either at Petco or at the mall. And THEN, if Mia is around, I will drive Carrot Earsback to Northampton and then visit Mia. And maybe Carolyn, if she's home. But I have no clue what her phone number is.

Carrot Ears told me you left a comment that you were home, Erin, but I thought she meant the other Erin, whom I happened to run into at Parsons. The problem is, clearly, that I know too many Erins. Oh well.

I have friends after all! Yayness!

Yesterday I felt extremely attractive. I thought you all needed to know. The grocery store clerk flirted with me. Yeah baby.
