I think Carnie Wilson(daughter of Brian Wilson(Beach Boys) and member of Wilson Phillips, famous gastro bypass surgery advocate, ok, you know who she is by now I hope)are meant to be friends and here's why: A few years ago before I met Mr. Pie, I was working in a little coffee shop here in LA. Carnie Wilson and her husband come in and order coffee. I recognize them because they were just on Dr. Phil or some day time talk show talking about their relationship and her surgery. She tells me that I'm beautiful and I say that I think she is too and I'm very happy for her weight loss and marriage or whatever I blubbered out. They leave.
A year later I'm at the grocery store and Carnie walks right by me. I think, hey I met you but of course don't say anything. A few months later, I pull into the parking lot of the same store and as I'm getting out of my car, who comes to their car which is parked right next to mine? Carnie Wilson. She gets in and drives off and I'm thinking, weird, we were parked right next to each other. No big deal.
A few months later. Mr. Pie and I are at a Mexican restaurant having some food and who walks in and stand near our table and smiles at me???? Yes, Carnie Wilson. Ok, LA isn't that big but still, I see my neighbors less then this woman it seems. I tell my husband and he doesn't think much of it.
A few months later. I go to the nail salon to get a manicure/pedicure. I walk in and the Asian woman tells me to take a seat at the table. I sit down and who is sitting right next to me??? Yep, Carnie Wilson. She smiles at me and is very nice. Now I say, "I see you everywhere". She gives me some sort of an, ok whatever, answer with a smile. Still, I think it's strange.
About 6 or 7 months later. My Mom and I are shopping in the Valley and to avoid traffic on the way home, we stop in the Jerry's famous deli in Encino. The waiter seats us and I look at the menu. Then I look up and who's sitting RIGHT NEXT TO US??? Yep. It's her again. I quietly tell my Mom how weird it is that I see her everywhere but my Mom doesn't even know who she is. I try not to look at her because I don't want her to think I'm a stalker. She's dining with who I think is her manager( I was listening to their conversation and it sounded like they were talking business)and about an hour into us being there they leave. As they do, they stop at our table and she tells me how pretty I am. No kidding, just like the first time I met her. I told her that I see her everywhere and this time she says that she thought I looked familiar. She was very sweet and if I run into her again anytime soon I'm going to tell her that I want to know what her message is for me because she must have one. No, I wouldn't say that but anyhow, that's my Carnie Wilson story.
