So long Holidays
So I took all of my holiday decorations down, including the tree and now the place looks so boring and un-festive. It always takes me a few days to adjust to the beautiful tree and stockings being gone. Well, I did clean like a mad woman so at least it's spotless in here. That helps.
We had a nice New Year's Eve and New Year's Day was even better. We went to this Irish Pub style restaurant and I had a Boxty which was honestly one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten. It's like a Casadilla but with a thin potato crust. It was filled with cheese, chicken, red and green peppers and some sort of cream sauce that was a little spicy. Oh my Lord, was it good.
The countdown is on to our vacation so I need to put the Holiday eats behind me and get my ass into healthy gear. Actually, I haven't been too bad as I was trying to look my best for the holiday parties. Speaking of looking my best, I can't wait for my bangs to grow out. I hate them! I've been wearing them back but that doesn't look so great.
This weekend is my step daughter's 12th birthday and we're taking her to Universal Studios. I hope it doesn't rain. Here in CA, winter is our rainy season.
I'm going to download some more songs onto my new I-pod now. Good night.
