College Update
Just a slight update about the colleges I've applied to...
URI
-Accepted Early Action
-Centennial Scholarship
-Honors Program
-Basically free ride w/ financial aid, and probably even get money back.
Northeastern
-Accepted Early Action
-Achievement Award (Scholarship)
-Financial aid pays for a bit over 60% of all costs...
...which results to paying nearly 17K every year, unfortunately.
I'm totally still waiting on Brown and Boston College.
Actually, I'm pretty anxious to find out about Brown...I kind of feel a lot more confident about applying there. I think I just may have a chance. :)
As for Boston College, well, we'll see. There must be some sort of miracle if I actually decide to go there.
Soo...yeah, I don't know about this whole college thing. Well, I am undoubtedly psyched to go, but the problem is that I don't know where to go. I can already sense that the whole money issue is going to be stressful. =/
I don't mind URI, but I'd just rather go somewhere else. I actually think it's going to come down to Northeastern and Brown...but I'd first have to find out from Brown, which will be Thursday, March 29th, which is also the same day as the RIMEA Band Festival! :)
Anyways, Big Band placed 5th tonight at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival. That's pretty cool. I really do love the jazz band, even if I left...I still found some sort of way to keep myself connected to them, so I'm glad.
My octet is going pretty well. We're working on our second song. Ryan Casperson is our "new" addition, and he is totally awesome.
Ilene and I kind of randomly decided to form our own vocal jazz group...with Ben and Ryan. lol This should be interesting, and I think it'll be fun. We'll work very well with each other. Mr. Lepore doesn't know about this yet...since we just decided it today. lol
I've got sooooooooooooooooo much work to do this weekend, I hope I make it through! =/
