Okay, so thankfully since the wedding things have calmed down here in the TO. THANK GOD. I don't think I could deal with all the overly stressed-out people any longer. Like... even people who didn't have a big part in the wedding were freaking out about the wedding. @_@ I don't know. The wedding morning itself was kind of a disaster. It called for rain all day, but we tried to look on the bright side. "It's supposed to be good luck if it rains on the wedding day!" That's what we told ourselves. Little did we know that the black cloud had settled over us for the morning. XD
Bad Luck #1: I trusted my 60-year-old Zia to book a hair salon that could do my hair. I wasn't asking for anything fancy. I'm not in the bridal party so I don't want to have an updo or anything, just a nice shampoo/blow-dry with a round brush so it had some volume. Any hairdresser should be able to do this no problem. ........Any hairdresser EXCEPT the guy my Zia booked. It should have been a warning to me straightaway that this salon is a one-man salon that no-one has ever heard of. But I tried to ignore my gut instinct that this would be a disaster and try the place anyways. BIG MISTAKE. I don't know what this guy thought he was doing, but it was not a roundbrush blow-dry. He was trying to curl my hair, I think (despite the many times I stressed that I didn't want it curly at all), and failing pretty miserably at it. And then he adds a few gallons of hairspray to it every few seconds. I was nearly in tears when he finished with it. There was no way I could go to the wedding looking like I was wearing a lion mane on top of my head! I wish I had a picture so people could see that I'm NOT exaggerating. It was terrible. I made my mom drive me home in between my and her hair appointments so I could re-wash and style it myself. Luckily we happened to pass another salon on the way back to my Zia's house, and they had an opening. I walked in and was like, "you probably can't tell, but I just came from having my hair styled for a wedding." The girl behind the desk about fainted (or bust out laughing. not that i blame her.. >> ) But she was able to fix my hair and i happily paid for it (funnily, she charged less than the guy who butchered it!)
But at least I ended up with nice hair at the wedding. See:

^_^ I've decided to use this as a new headshot pic for my theatre stuff. If I'm auditioning for an older role, cause I look a bit more my age here haha
Bad Luck #2: We were late to the wedding ceremony. As in, it started with out us. As in, we missed the procession of the bridal party. And my brother was supposed to be the ring bearer. The priest didn't want to wait, so they started without him! We were mortified. And then I had to do a walk of shame down the huge cathedral aisle to get to my seat by the other readers on the bride's side! X_X It was horrible! I literally just sat my but down in the chair and the priest said "Now for the first reading" and I stood back up. My heart was racing! Im surprised my voice didn't shake at all... I guess cause I'm used to public speaking but I was soooo scared that I'd almost missed it!!
BUT EVERYTHING WORKED OUT IN THE END. THANK GOD.
And I've learned that
ITALIAN WEDDINGS > AMERICAN WEDDINGS.
By far. We win. :D Especially in Canada. They're such productions, I love it! What a great party it was. And the bartenders and the hall said we put all the other weddings to shame with the amount of drinking we did. xD Surprisingly no-one was even that drunk. Like, no one was making fools of themselves. It was just a fun night.
Except in the beginning. One of the bridesmaids had a little too much to drink before the introductions were made, and thought she'd be cool by doing a dance with her groomsman partner. She did a dip and they both went crashing to the floor. And I caught it on film. It was epically hilarious. xDD

And I won a centerpiece! That's bigger than my head! lol
Tomorrow I'm doing more wedding stuff.... Going dress shopping with my sister for her dress and the bridesmaids dresses~ Yay! ^_^
