In a stunning development in the Alley Murder case, District Attorney Arthur Branch and Chief of Detectives Ronald Nagler were arrested late Sunday afternoon. The police commissioner, Chaswell Hadley, refused to comment on what the charges were. "At this time, that information is confidential," Hadley said in a phone call with the Ledger. Major Case Captain Daniel Ross, along with Detectives Alexandra Eames, Michael Logan and Megan Wheeler had no comment either, as of press time. Eames and Ross were seen at One Police Plaza, taking in Branch, while shortly afterward, Logan and Wheeler were seen taking in Nagler. Hadley hinted that there would be a press conference sometime tomorrow morning. Calls to the Branch and Nagler homes were not returned.
