[There's a Kurotsuchi there. Not in his lab, but probably nearby.
The scientist is currently on the floor, kneeling in front of some kind of machinery. Apart from the long blocks of metal and wire in front of him, there's pieces scattered around, in various states of wear. And when everything's made from the bits and pieces you can find, things are going to break sometimes. Probably more often than you'd like.
And if it's a mechanical problem, you might as well fix it when you don't have other abilities to fall back on. Which is why he has an arm buried in a jagged-looking box. Which suddenly starts hissing and sparking rather dramatically, not quite covering the screech of metal on metal and evidently flesh, considering that on an initial jolt backward, the scientist can't get free of it.
There's a brief struggle, though when Kurotsuchi finally jerks his arm free, it's covered in blood. Which is now getting everywhere. He considers it for a moment, before turning to pick up a nearby scrap of cloth from nearby with his good hand-
-and uses it to start cleaning up the machinery. Priorities, you know.]
Thought the charge was- must've shorted out.
[When he finally gets up and notices the PCD, he looks as indifferent as ever, and his tone is casual as he finally wraps the less-than-useless cloth around a sort-of-useless limb.]
You lot should be pleased about the event. Consider it a reprieve. As long as you're normal, I don't have any interest in you.
