He's going to die, isn't he? The author seems like someone who kills the audience's darlings (also, I don't see how things could get resolved without him dead).
Incidentally, I don't like chocolate much. Still got enough for my birthday and Christmas that I won't have to buy any for the next two years, though. *g*
(I did, but I only got home a few hours ago and am still trying to catch up while also stowing away all the remaining stuff I brought from the old appartment.)
Do you want spoilers? Anything I could say would be very spoilery for the ending. But suffice it to say that I don't think anyone anticipated what she did in the end. *g*
You? Are a deeply weid person. I boggle at the idea of chocolate lasting longer than a week or two at most, no matter how much there might be!
That was the first fandom I ever wrote in! I wrote a mixed bag of the Oliver Stone movie (god, Jared Leto's hair!) and Fire from Heaven and actual history. They're here. I'd say probably 90% drabbles. I started my fandom writing on a pretty small scale.
I didn't like Fire from Heaven as much as The Persian Boy, but maybe that's because I read the latter first. Reading the second one in the "series" tends to screw up my book-radar. /o\ But I love Mary Renault's love affair with semi-colons.
I kind of want to read the Coldfire series now that someone mentioned the first book is kind of like a D&D campaign. This probably says something about me.
I know what you mean. I started reading Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned and then worked my way back to Interview with the Vampire. Which, yeah. *coughs*
As a pen & paper RPG person myself, I say go for it!
