He's going to die, isn't he? The author seems like someone who kills the audience's darlings (also, I don't see how things could get resolved without him dead).
Incidentally, I don't like chocolate much. Still got enough for my birthday and Christmas that I won't have to buy any for the next two years, though. *g*
(I did, but I only got home a few hours ago and am still trying to catch up while also stowing away all the remaining stuff I brought from the old appartment.)
Do you want spoilers? Anything I could say would be very spoilery for the ending. But suffice it to say that I don't think anyone anticipated what she did in the end. *g*
You? Are a deeply weid person. I boggle at the idea of chocolate lasting longer than a week or two at most, no matter how much there might be!
He actually dies twice, and by the very end of the trilogy still isn't fully dead.
And it would depend on the size of the drawers, I suppose! Never underestimate my superpowers! (Making chocolate mysteriously vanish into my mouth totally qualifies as a superpower, right? *g*)
heeheehee, that description of Tarrant's death(s) cracks me up, because it's so very true!
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the Coldfire series. I really didn't like the first book much at all -- it was way too "ooh! sexy evil vampires! shiny!" for me without really justifying it .... plus it felt awfully like a D&D campaign, with the little assorted band of heroes questing. So I wasn't planning to read the second book; I just skimmed it (I was borrowing from my roommate) because I was vaguely curious how this whole quest thing turned out -- and about halfway through you could practically hear the foomph! sound as I got sucked in. And then I thoroughly hated what they did to a really awesome supporting character in the second book. (lavvyan, if you disliked what they did to Ciani ... oh my god, lay in a good stock of RAGE for book 2!) But by that time, I was so far gone for Tarrant and Damien that I went ahead and loved book 3 despite my lingering rage over *spoiler* in book 2. And the world-building and magic in this
( ... )
I'm nearly as much in love with the worldbuilding as I am with Tarrant, and that's saying something. *g* It's seriously impressive.
We discussed the Ciani thing and the *spoiler* thing in our rereads, and reactions were varied. lavvyan, if you're interested, you can find all of our BSR discussion posts here at hunters_forest. (Feel free to chime in if you want - discussion posts are always open for new commentary.)
Ahem. Let me answer your question properly, in that case. *g* Yes, there's quite a lot of Gerald/Damien slash around - it's (surprisingly *cough*) the fandom's main pairing, and for such a tiny fandom we're actually doing quite well. I've even written it myself once. (You almost have to search for non-Gerald/Damien with a microscope.)
(Did you get my email yesterday?)

Please tell me there's Damien/Gerald slash out there.
Regular size, I guess. And I'm not all that sure about that superpower thing. *g*

It urgently needs an update, but nonetheless, it's a start. (If you run into any dead links, let me know. I'll try and get an update out soon!)
