I haven't been into online journaling lately. I have been keeping a handwritten journal, I just haven't been online as much lately. But I miss everyone and thought I'd pop in to catch up on everyone's journals, and to give a quick update.
Everyone here is fine. Zoe will be 1 1/2 next week. How fast time flies. Autumn has started fifth grade and loves it. I can't believe she's going to be 10 soon! Tim is fine, he's doing well at his job, but is starting to realize that there isn't much room for advancement of higher wages, so he's started applying for higher paying jobs with other companies. His dad talked to someone he's close to at Compuware, and he's pretty much lined up an interview for Tim to do inside sales there. He hopes to get hired there, put in a few years, and then move up to a higher paying job where his dad works now, at Oracle, which requires more experience than he has now.
He's excited about the prospect, and it's good to see him confident and focused.
I'm doing well. So far the pregnancy is going well. I feel good most of the time, no more morning sickness or nausea. I do have anemia, however, and on the days I forget to take my iron pills I am extremely sleepy and listless all day (which isn't often since I have learned the hard way how awful it is). But as long as I take my pill, I feel great and am anxiously awaiting the new arrival. Still a few weeks till I learn the gender. We're excitedly anticipating that, too.
Oh, and also, I thought some of you might be as happy as I was to hear about a site I just joined called kizoodle.com. It's currently my new addiction.
Members post their baby/kid/maternity stuff on the site to "swap" with other moms/dads. Instead of selling them for money, you sell the items for kiz credits, and use those credits to buy things you want or need from the items other members have posted. There are hundreds of items up for "sale" in each category. There are clothes, toys, furniture, accessories, etc.
It's free to join, and when you sign up you receive 5 free credits, which is like $5 to spend on the site. If you use this referral code (KH5FWW), you get 2 extra credits, which will start you out with $7 worth of credits to use to buy things on the site. So you can use those credits right away to buy stuff for free to try the site out before you ever spend any money. The "prices" are comparable to garage sale prices, so an outfit will typically run about 2-3 credits.
