A week ago we made a trip to the province of Närke. And since we didn't want to spend too much money this time we were looking for a nice budget level B&B, preferably in the countryside. And we found it ( Read more... )

That is a gorgeous place and I want to stay there. But then there is the bathroom part. Always a trade off on things isn't there.
Is it in Sweden? It really is quite lovely and yes so calm looking.

Yes, it's in Sweden. You can keep this place in mind if you'll ever plan to travel to Scandinavia. :)

One day yes, I would love to go to Scandinavia :-)
My great-grandfather was from that island in the north of Denmark, Laslo I think it is called. So yes, someday I will get to that area.

I guess it must be Læsø.

I haven't been there yet but as far as I can see from the pictures it is a beautiful place well worth a visit, especially in summer.

Jutland, the mainland part of Denmark and the closest land to Læsø is really lovely. I really enjoyed my visits there. I especially remember those I did in summertime. It's a pretty special place to my mind. The sea, the sands, the light, the quiet...

I am due to take a trip to Western Europe and I just feel this place must be my destination, thank you! Do you think I should plan it for Summer?

Yes, I think it is much better in summer. As well as the rest of Scandinavia. Some parts of the very northern Norway, Sweden and Finland are great in winter too, but in the southern Sweden and Denmark it's much better in summer. Both the weather and the service. Quite a lot of places (cafés, restaurants, smaller hotels, museums, ferries, shops and other attractions) are only open in summer time for examples. Northern Jutland is famous for a very special light that has attracted lots of artists there throughout the centuries. But it is there only in summer. And in winter it can be depressingly dark here. So yes, it's definitely better in summer.
