Providence Unveiled & Book #6

I don't remember when I finished this, but it was a while ago. It took me a little bit to get back into it since it had been so long since I read the other two. I couldn't remember who some of the characters were, but that's just because of the time between readings. In the end it was a good book and a nice ending to the trilogy.

I picked up some new books last week and have been reading The first volume of Vertigo’s longest running series that stars England’s chain-smoking, low-rent magus.

Welcome to the haunted world of black magic, demons, and the ghosts of past mistakes-the world of John Constantine, Hellblazer. Constantine is a hero, of sorts, who manages to come out on top through a combination of luck, trickery, and genuine magical skill. With his sharp tongue and unequaled shrewdness, the sorcerer from Liverpool has managed to raise himself to a position as rarefied as it is dangerous: being the magician of last resort for a world under constant siege from the forces of chaos and evil. That same rough path has also sharpened his mind, and taught him a thing or two about ruthlessness.

Collecting the beginning of the signature Vertigo series together with the Constantine tie-in story from SWAMP THING, this expanded edition of ORIGINAL SINS kicks off one of the most remarkable sagas of horror and dark fantasy in all of graphic literature. the last few days. I really like it. I liked the show and was sad when it was cancelled. I saw the set of graphic novels at the comic book store whenever we would go, but they never had the first two books. So when we went last week and they had them on the shelf, I bought them.

The show seems to have really followed the comics well. A few little things are different, and there are some things that I think I picked up on better in the comic than I did in the show. I haven't come to anything from the movie yet, but the movie may be something from further on in the series. I'm on 9 of 12 comics in the collection. There were some visual things happening in this one that I think are from the movie, but the story line isn't the same.

I'm excited to read the whole series. I think there are 13 books, but I've only got the fist two.
