Before we begin, I just want to say that I usually watch the last ten or so minutes of WWE, just to make sure the livestream isn't going to crap out on me, but I watch it with the sound muted while I do other things. And last night, I was, like, live-blogging it in my head. I don't even know. Also, my favorite thing about "Sanctuary" live, besides ( Read more... )

*sporfle* New ship: H/C. "What's H/C, hurt/comfort?" "No, silly, it's Helen/concubine!"

I also kind of like the meta that whole idea brought up, though. Like, Amanda's indicated in the past that Helen may or may not have had affairs with women, and is certainly more free in her sexuality than a lot of people (I mean, you would get bored after 150 years of the same thing). And Helen's much too dignified to use someone exclusively for sex and be forthright about it (I mean, at least with the villa in godknowswhere, it was also company), but I can't imagine that in the past she's never had a man just...kind of like a classy booty call. And Will does totally seem like he would be someone like that.

And alidsjfaklsdgj when we learn more about Helen Magnus's sexuality, I'm going to write a paper on it. Like, maybe after the series ends (*knocks on wood for another ten years*). Because she's understandably private about it, and I love how the show deliberately makes a point of it *not* being the audience's business (via Will, because it's clearly not his either, according to Victorian standards). But there's probably so *much* to it. And I also really like writing papers about sexuality because that's something super interesting to me (if I have to write a paper at all).

...I also may or may not be hoping for some subtext with the Polly Walker relationship when that happens, unless she's playing someone like Magnus's sister, because they're only a year apart and you've gotta agree there's a good deal of resemblance between the two.
