Sort of accomplishing things
I've managed to cross a few things off my list from the other day, but as always, there's still more to do.
But have I been working on it? Of course not! I've been working and watching the HanaKimi drama! ^_^;; And, you know, discussing porn with the Lube Chat girls.
I've only watched through episode 6, but it's definitely different from the manga (naturally). It's been a long time since I read the beginning of the manga, but I think drama!Sano is more of a jerk than manga!Sano, and drama!Ashiya isn't nearly as uber genki as manga!Ashiya. Though I still like watching it, I like the manga better.
Also, I kinda think they did a bad job casting Umeda. Come on! Umeda's supposed to be this hot, young doctor (who wears glasses!), and this guy in the drama just... doesn't live up to that image. And he has blue eyes, whut? It weirds me out! I'd like to nominate MoriEiji to play Umeda instead. He could definitely do justice to the "hot, young, gay doctor with glasses" role. Yep. Hey, he did a good job as a hot doctor in Renai Shindan! *_____*
Speaking of bad casting, WTF is up with Himejima? The Himejima I remember from the manga is a blonde pretty boy with long hair who's very elegant and graceful. This drama!Himejima is this weird-looking guy with short hair who looks to be like, 30 years old and makes a lot of freaky faces and wears a tacky, shiny cape. Definitely NOT a good Himejima, in my opinion.
However, Sekime, I like in the drama. His actor sorta reminds me of Juri. And even though I know manga!Sekime was like some sort of nerd boy with glasses (for most of the manga, anyway), I like his character in the drama.
But the more I watch it, the more it makes me feel bad for poor Nakatsu. I was never a big Nakatsu fan while reading the manga, (though I didn't dislike him), and even though he still loves Ashiya even though [s]he loves Sano, I guess I never really felt that sorry for him in the manga. But the drama really plays that scenario up, and while it's hilarious to watch Nakatsu try to convince himself he's not gay for Ashiya, it also makes me feel really bad for him, knowing that he's not going to end up with Ashiya in the end. Poor Nakatsu. u__u
Lastly, for some reason, I really like the layout of the dorm rooms, with their loft bed and tiny corner shower. I wanna live there! XD But they totally got the school uniforms wrong! They wear brown jackets and houndstooth pants, not blue and plaid! At least leave that much true to the manga!
Okay, enough rambling about that. I'll probably go watch some more after I post this.
Other than that, I've been enjoying some new music, also courtesy of Ali-chan. So I've been listening to Ooishi's album and Shinji's Eve album and various other group songs. Normally, I don't really like MoriEiji's singing all that much (because let's admit it - he's not always on key), but he sounds surprisingly good in Eve! Way to go, Eiji! ^__^
