A bunch of updates from waaay too long ago until as recent as possible given the time..
1) The Ever-Effervescent thestalkycop has a birthday on the 29th of this month. As I am more busy and scatter-brained than usual I woould like to take the time now to say: "Sarah, I hope this birthday blows away all others by comparison. I hope your wishes come true and your day is as care-free and perfect as a day can be. Yes, you are THAT special! My gift to you is this: anyone you find even slightly annoying will come down with a dry throat, and cough for the entire day so as not to *coff* disturb you *coff*. Dang! *coff coff*"
2) I arrived for this months trip to Fort Wayne On Wednesday the 9th. It is intensely soothing and satisfying to both fall asleep beside AND wake up beside the very person who floats your fleet. I'm here for a whole month.
The drive down included hearing about a Canadian Air Guitar Championship. It made me think of baronmind who is, I believe, well-known for his impressive Air Drumming while driving to work. I pointed the site out to Nemo, thinking he might want to join next year.. the response was luke-warm at best; having the ultimate perfect border guard; seeing a truck with then name "Maersk" on the side; incredibly beautiful nature scenes; perfect driving weather; leaving at 9:15 am for the first time EVAR. Since arriving I have shopped for furniture, gone to see the wonderful MJ, visited Chrysti in hospital (and met some of her friends), seen the season finale of Dr Who, peeled off a layer of skin, done a few loads of laundry, played Sims2 and worked on my island and its inhabitants, for those who play Sims2... it's REAAAALY cool. I have gone shopping for shoes and groceries, and I have enjoyed a pizza at pizza hut. I have not purchased a "hot" nightgown from Fashion Bug, because, quite frankly, their selection left me wanting.
I went to see Chrysti Yesterday (as in Thursday) in hospital in Grand Rapids. She is in for another round of chemo - her chemo will be for a year and she gets treatments every two weeks on a Wednesday until the following Saturday. She is working to be strong and the more I see her try the more I am blown away by the incredible being that is HER. when she is not in hospital they give her drugs to make her blood cell count increase, and her bone marrow grow (this is very painful for her and it makes me cry to think of my friend in that pain and there is nothing I can really do to help her. I can be there for her, support he, and do puppet porn shows, but in reality it doesn't feel like much. Someone I love is hurting and I'm helpless. So many other people are in the same boat: her fiance, her friends, her family... All she wants of me is to support her and be there for her (and the puppet porn). Check and Done.
My mouth is SO dry!
3) Both Bunny and I have a thing for bacon, but this am (technically yesterday am) I REALLY wanted bacon (Chris makes it perfectly crispy, I LOVE crispy bacon) and he made me BACON!!! Tonight he found this very appropriate little LoLCat:

4) I'm in Mansfield right now, later this evening we will be at Mansfield Reformatory waiting to catch a paranormal act in progress *grin*. Good friends, good food, good booze, and ghosts. Yeah, it's a Lowenbrau night.
My fingers are very sore (more on that later) so I'm pissing off to try to catch some Zeds before daylight actually takes hold.
