Please do education for me

My first big paper for my Women and Communication class is just that, about women and communication. The official prompt:

How do women communicate? What do/can women teach us about communication? What does/can communication teach us about women?

I feel like there are a lot of pro-women people on my flist so I kind of wanted to get your perspective on this before I started the paper. Any personal anecdotes or thoughts that you want to share are more than welcome, as well as any like...professional style thoughts. IDK, I'd just like to hear what people think about this. Even if you don't identify as a female or feel like you have a decent female perspective, I'd still like to hear what you think.

Oh! We're also allowed to use literary references, so if anyone knows of any books/songs/poems that you think fit this topic, I would love to see them. Legit everyone on my flist knows more about poetry than me and I am not a big poetry person, but I would be super thankful if you used this opportunity to give me your best female-related poetry.

In return, if you would like, I will do this meme!

Comment and I'll...
1. Tell you why I friended you (if I can remember, heh)
2. Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a color, a piece of fruit. Something.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Associate you with a character/pairing.
6. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (Or else I'll just ask a random question. I reserve that right.)
7. Tell you my favorite user pic(s) of yours.
8. Tell you that you must spread this disease in your LJ.

Leaving this post unlocked even with the super spammers in case any of you want to share with your flist so I can get ALL THE OPINIONS.
