Returning to work was the first normal thing Lavender had done in weeks. That morning she had felt anxious as she got herself ready but forced herself out the door. But once she arrived at the practice field, camera out ready, she felt newly empowered. The team had greeted her like one of their own.
Lavender's anxiety began to fade slowly after that first day. It became easier to refocus after that and get back to her normal routine. It had only been a couple of days but she had already been to Alex's to talk things out with him after their fight. He had been in to visit her at the hospital, of course, but things had been emotional then still. The last few weeks had given him some time to calm down and her some time to reflect on their conversation. If they were going to mend their relationship it was going to take work from both Brown siblings.
Regardless, Lavender was feeling positive. It was going to take work but she couldn't keep her life on pause any longer. The attack wasn't going to ruin her.
After leaving her brother's, it was nearing dinner time. Lavender made her way to her favorite take-out place. Halfway through her order she decided to double it. She immediately headed towards Roger's flat rather than going back to George's with a rather large bag of Chinese take-out.
She arrived at his flat shortly after, a bright smile on her face. Lavender knocked at his door twice while bouncing on her heels. It was time to finally celebrate something - even if it was as simple as going back to work.
