The running program is very structured! I got the spreadsheet that has the plan detail. It looks like this...
Monday: 200 m speedwork
Tues: cross train
Wed Speedwork 2X1 mile.
Thurs: Easy 3 mile run
Friday: Long run 4 miles
Sat: Easy run 3-6 miles
Sun Cross train
So, tonight - 3 mile run already. I realize I missed last week, but wow. Ok so, I head to the park to get ready to meet the group. waiting,.... waiting.... 5:55... no one. hmmmmmm did I misread a time? I have no problem running on my own, in some cases I prefer being a solitary creature and just feeling my breath, but I was READY to run with the group.
At 6 I thought I had better get started and one other gal pulled up. We greeted each other, but didn't understand where the rest of the group was. We call the gym and DOH somehow they were meeting someplace else. Oh well. This gal was very nice to run with me a little.
The evenings have been chilly. We're getting a cold front and expecting rain. Tonight it was overcast with a chill that smelled like rain. It was very lovely. I love to run outside. There's just nothing like it.
And dang if that training doesn't work. hahah. Even with a short amount of speedwork, the 3 miles did come. I wasn't sure if they would. But, I was able to complete and still feel pretty good afterwards.
I'm stoked!
