Everything since Friday night has been wonderful and I couldn't be more happy about it.
Seeing as Josh was at school Friday night and I had some time to myself I got on the Red Line towards Hollywood but I got off a few stops early and ended up walking some 2 miles down Sunset Blvd. Let me telly you between Vermont and Argyle it's nothing Glamouros. I even got mistaken for a hooker once. So after a lenghty walk I went down to Amoeba and picked up some VHSs-esses-se-sesssess. Man, I was so happy with my finds, and I love Amoeba for having them for like 4$. I gots Hannibal, Silence of the Lambs [1$!!!], Army of Darkness, Willard, the Old Manchurian Candidate with Frank Sinatra, The Lost Boys, and..some other one I can't remember right now. BUT! I did find Apt Pupil on DVD and Jason was right, that movie was awesome and disturbing. It's highly recommended. From there, I was way too tired to do anything else so I went home. At home I found out that we've got another foster kid. His name is Marcus and he's 14 yrs old and very very black. Lol. He's alright, just a pain in the ass and as I found out yesterday morning, he likes to strip to hip hop in the kitchen.
On Saturday morning I had to go into work, a lot longer than I thought I would. I was almost late because I brought Josh breakfast. He met me after work at the Green Line station and we had an interesting time walking through South Gate and me telling him where the hookers hang out. We finally made it to the Allen and got in line and that's when I hear my name screamed out and I totally jump about 2 feet in the air to land on Paul :D! So Paul, Abe, Robert and Emmran showed up to the Ska Invasion and I couldn't have been happier! Man, the pits were brutal and I admit I couldn't go 'round more than once at a time. I blame it all on the maryjanes I was wearing, I should have gone with my first choice in the morning and worn my boots, but anyway. The highlight of the night had to be when Abe picked me up piggy back and jumped in the pit, it was like whoa! I was scared, rofl. He says I totally turned all girly on him, I hung my head in shame quite a few times that night. We also had a nice conversation about our relationships and I was surprised that he knew exactly what I was going through and how I felt, he would finish my sentences for me and agree with me, that was nice. I had a great time at that show.
On Sunday morning I had to baby sit but I said 'fuck that' and left to go get my hair cut...with my charges in tow. Good thing the place was across the street because I was wearing my fuzzy slippers and those things aren't really made for concrete. So anyway, I've got a sexy new very very short hair cut and I'll show you once I do the hair dye to go along with it. So Joshua and I layed around watched some movies while I pretended to put my clothes away. So then Mum gets home from work and I called Krispi Nugget and it turns out she's already on her way. Josh decided on Saturday he wanted to cook her dinner. He's been on this trip about wanting to make Perogis forever so we let him. We cooked, had some PineappleVodka drinks and watched Clerks. We talked and laughed and cried [Okai, it was just me crying because of my allergies] and everything seems to be dandy. I do love them both. I'm so glad Josh and Kristi get along so well :D
Sorry for the humongous entry. I had such a great time these past couple days, my mood is soaring again.
I so didn't wanna come into work today, but hey.
Protest tomorrow. Starts at 5 on Hollywood and Highland. Come or Die. Or something.
See you there, Angelcakes?
