“I give up. I see no point in living if I can’t be beautiful.”

D: This line honestly plagues and binds me from time to time..

I just rewatched FMA Brotherhood last week. T^T Reminds me of when the sheer mention of the name Edward evokes the image of Elric and NOT Cullen! Besides, Brotherhood is where Roy Mustang wasn't dumbed down, unlike the 2003 version. I find it funny that Miki Shinichiro always plays the same flirty roles (Mustang, Kudou Yohji, Urahara, Sakamoto Tatsuma, etc.etc.) but for that I like him lots. I'm a big big big fan! Sometimes I think the only one reason Toushiro is popular is because of Paku Romi...

Anyway! Take care and miss you lots :)

I like the name Edward, it's very regal and stately. I really hate that Edward Cullen exists in fiction. Ugh.

I can't remember if Roy Mustang was dumbed down in the old version of FMA. I try to pretend I didn't watch it, and that it doesn't exist! :) Adam doesn't like the character very much, he thinks Roy is boring.

It's freaky, sometimes while watching Brotherhood I look at Ed, listen to him speak, and then I can imagine Hitsugaya saying the exact same things.

Haha, I don't remember that gif but I was spoiled for Death Note too. I was reading the manga as it was coming out but after most people had already started it. I didn't mind because I was glad to be prepared. I fell in love with L.

Lol about Light failing bc yeah, he totally did. Of course I think we were supposed to be cheering for him to fail. And oddly enough, I liked Misa--I mean I liked disliking her. I thoroughly enjoyed DN

Fate/Stay Night I didn't finish but I loved what I saw. I forgot what happened to interrupt me. Life trauma usually interrupts me.

“I give up. I see no point in living if I can’t be beautiful.”

Tis true. It's probably why I go on. I have this weird sense of finding even the most depressing and macabre things beautiful.

Cheering for Light to fail, oh YES baby. I was cheering so hard I should have a t-shirt made. :D

Too bad you didn't finish Fate/Stay Night. Bits of it were really fun. I've been looking at Saber figures lately, out of curiosity, and the weird outfits they give her just crack me up.

Death Note: Light doesn't fail as a serial killer. Rather, he fails because he's a serial killer. Instead, he fails at being a hero, which he proves rather early on when he kills Detective Penbar for no reason. I think, perhaps, Light's characterization could've been more interesting if Penbar had presented a more realistic threat to Light's (supposed) goal of eliminating crime, so that killing Penbar represented a greater moral sacrifice on Light's part, but it was not meant to be. What we got instead was a protagonist who didn't really seem to have any morals to begin with, much less sacrifice. He ended up being a serial killer, rather, and that made his undoing inevitable, since one of the defining characteristics of the serial killer is that he never stops killing. At so many points in the series, Light could've stopped killing but he just had to keep on "judging" criminals because he couldn't help it as a serial killer ( ... )

Hmm, I don't know about that. I subscribe to Lord Peter Wimsey's notion (Sayers again!) that a successful criminal is one that doesn't get caught.

It's too bad you don't like Howl. :( Sniff. I think he's my new Byakuya.

Death Note: Fortunately I start reading it when it first published and before all the hype, so I wasn't spoiled silly. XD Seeing your post reminds me why I chose to dispose my Death Note collection in the end. It's a pity because I remembered I was so geeked out by it initally. The concept is superb, but that's where the excution of the plot falls ( ... )

KAYA~~~~! <3

YAY YOU'RE HERE, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH! I MUST ALL-CAPS MY JOY! <3

So you sold all your Death Note?! Oh, sadness. But it's okay, I totally understand how you feel. I sold all my Bleach volumes after the SS arc, so I can pretend nothing after it exists. Moving also helped make that decision -- I had to cut my library by half.

Going back to Death Note though... hahaha, the idea of the alphabet taking down Light! It's so Sesame Street. "Justice brought to you by the letter M and N."

YAY you fangirl over Howl too. :D I think I need to watch it with subtitles now.

LOL. OH NO. I didn't even bother to sell my collections. I just put them beside my lift at the ground level, and then they're taken away within a hour. Hope the new owner enjoys it.

Ohh, you have to watch Studio Ghibli's films in Japanese. It's more in depth flavouring with Japanese, authentic and touching.

I haven't watched their latest "From Up on Poppy Hill". Looks like something I would enjoy as it sets in 60s Yokohama, then I spoiled myself silly with Wiki saying that it's a sad film. WAHHHHH~~~
