Yeah, I'm still alive. Been busy:
- fangirling over Byakuya
- meeting up with friends with complicated romantic entanglements (the shipping hexagon of doom does happen in real life!)
- watching Beowulf (oh, Neil Gaiman, I love you -- did you write in all the butt naked fighting scenes?)

Real life is important? *puzzled* Real life is a matter of perspective, sweetie.

And it's what I would call a satire, too. The movie always seemed to be subtly--and not so subtly--mocking Beowulf's heroism, and showed how his legend quickly became exaggerated. The movie cleverly strips away his accolades, in addition to stripping away his clothes.
Furthermore, Angelina was hot.
