(no subject)
I only update when prodded. And I was prodded twice in the past 24 hours. GOOD JOB coordinating that.
I'm busy.
My job is... stressful, to say the least. Every time I think I'm handling it, something comes flying out of left field and I start freaking out all over again. It's a learning experience, to say the absolute least. I passed my 90 day mark yesterday. Not sure if or when I'm going to broach the subject of a real position with real money. It's a subject that makes me very very nervous. But I really do think I'm doing a pretty good job.
Also trying to sporadically plan wedding stuff. Met with the florist we are probably using and we are waiting to get a quote back for that. Working on coordinating everyone in the wedding party to get together in Orlando soon! Bridesmaid dress shopping! We'll probably order them from the store in Port St. Lucie, though... will be most convenient for alterations and stuff once it gets closer.
Phil is working on some little things for the website, BUT the save the dates are going out TOMORROW. Finally. Umm... I dunno. I'm sure there's 900 things I need to do but don't have time to do.
I bought monkeytoe shoes this weekend. http://vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_KSO_m.cfm Those, in black, and yes, in Men's, cuz the only color they had in women's was a horrid pink. I ran with them Sunday and Monday and for the past two days my right ankle feels sprained. I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or just muscles I need to strengthen, but it kind of sucks.
I really, really, really enjoy living with only Phil. The house isn't clean... we really never QUITE got back onto a clean slate. But it's cleaner. And it doesn't make me angry. I have my own office with a door I can close. And I go where I want when I want and I don't wear a lot of clothing.
Ummmmmm what else. I don't know. Work takes up most of my time and energy. In fact, I'm going to go do more work now.
I'm starting my grown up blog at laurenkates.com soon. I get lots of ideas for things I actually want to write, and then I never write them.
Oh. Probably the most exciting thing for me to think about at the moment besides the wedding is OUR HONEYMOOOOON. We are going just to London. I think it's like 11 days? In one hotel room in the middle of the city. We'll probably take day trips to Cardiff and Paris as well, but we want to be able to do what we want, when we want. We've been researching some things so I can add things to our honeyfund, which is pretty much almost complete! http://www.honeyfund.com/wedding/kates I really love the idea of this site... for a couple like us, who pretty much has almost everything we could possibly want for our house already, people can pick specific honeymoon things to contribute towards.
