I got a Christmas card from Florrie today! It really made my day and it's so prettiful! I have it hanging on my wall. Now it's up with Aunt Marg & Uncle Jim, Grandma and Carolyn & Dave's cards.
I decorated my apartment today when I got home. It's now pretty festive! (And I'm up again!)
So I bought this little 90cm fake tree. It was only 7.50 euros but what swayed me into finally buying it was how it's a "Canadian green artificial tree". It said Canadian on the shelf label and everything. It was meant to be.
As I'm trying to unfold it.
It was surprisingly hard to get it open. I'm used to the fake tree we have at home that's so old it basically just falls open.

Once that was done, I tried to hang up garlands, which was an adventure in itself.

And there's the advent calendar that Martin got me. He's going to be gone in a few weeks! O_O Nooo! Damn the one-semester kids!
The other side of my room, not nearly as cheery just because the wall's too big to cover with stuff, so it looks a little blank. You know, you can't buy green Christmas stuff here? Everything's blue, red, gold, and silver, which is all fine, but where's the green?
Fruit cake!! I don't know how people can not like fruit cake! Inconceivable! (I do not think it means what you think it means...) And there's the pile of Christmas cards I have to mail.
I took all my Christmas photos out of the tiny album I brought with me and tacked them up on the wall.
Mum told me that our fake tree has pretty much kicked the bucket and this year will probably be its last Christmas. Noooo! Please, you can't do that while I'm gone! But, the tree is so old that here I am sitting in front of it when I was, oh, 7? 8?
